Improve your smile without aggressive treatment.

A more conservative cosmetic option for patients who want a more attractive smile while preserving healthy tooth structure.

A conservative approach

Improve what is already there.

Many patients want a more attractive smile but are uncomfortable with the idea of removing healthy tooth structure.

Composite veneers may be a beautiful option for patients who want to improve the shape, size, spacing, or symmetry of their teeth in a more conservative way.

Unlike porcelain veneers, composite veneers are sculpted directly onto the teeth using tooth-colored material. In many cases, little or no tooth structure needs to be removed.

The goal is not to create an overdone smile. The goal is to improve what is already there.
What composite veneers can help with

Subtle changes. Real difference.

Composite veneers can be especially helpful when a patient wants improvement but is not ready for porcelain.

Spaces between teeth
Small or narrow teeth
Chipped teeth
Uneven edges
Worn front teeth
Mild discoloration
Minor asymmetry
Teeth that look unbalanced
Choosing between the two

Composite or porcelain?

Neither option is automatically better. The right choice depends on your goals, your bite, your existing tooth structure, and your long-term expectations.

Composite Veneers

The conservative option

Sculpted directly onto the teeth in a single visit. Often the right choice for patients who want a meaningful improvement without removing healthy tooth structure.

  • Little or no tooth preparation
  • Repairable if chipped or stained
  • Often completed in one visit
  • More accessible investment
Porcelain Veneers

The transformation option

Custom-crafted ceramic shells, ideal when the goal is a larger smile transformation, precise color control, or a longer-lasting ceramic restoration.

  • Longer-lasting ceramic material
  • Stronger color and shape control
  • Ideal for full-smile transformations
  • Requires some tooth preparation
A recent case

A small change. A balanced smile.

This patient wanted to close the gap between her front teeth and even out the smaller laterals — without aggressive treatment.

What we did

Orthodontic treatment was completed first to align the teeth and improve the smile foundation. Composite veneers were then used to close the remaining space, enhance the size of the teeth, and create a fuller, more balanced smile — with little to no removal of healthy tooth structure.

Before you start

Whitening may be recommended first.

Composite material does not whiten the same way natural teeth do. Whitening first allows us to choose a shade that blends with your brighter smile.

This is why composite veneers are often planned together with teeth whitening or cosmetic bonding.

A note from Dr. Dulay
"Composite veneers are not meant to replace every cosmetic treatment. But for the right patient, they can create a natural improvement while preserving healthy tooth structure — and that is important to me."

Common questions

What patients ask most often.

Do composite veneers damage teeth?

Composite veneers are often one of the more conservative cosmetic options. In many cases, little or no tooth structure needs to be removed.

How long do composite veneers last?

Longevity depends on your bite, habits, oral hygiene, and maintenance. Composite can stain or chip over time, but it is often repairable without redoing the entire treatment.

Can composite veneers close spaces between teeth?

Yes. Composite veneers can often close small spaces and improve tooth proportions while preserving the natural teeth underneath.

Are composite veneers right for everyone?

No. If your teeth are severely crowded, worn, dark, or heavily restored, another treatment may be more appropriate. A consultation helps determine what is right for your specific situation.

How is the treatment different from porcelain veneers?

Composite is sculpted directly onto the tooth in a single visit. Porcelain veneers are custom-made in a laboratory and bonded to teeth that have been lightly prepared. Both can produce beautiful results — the right choice depends on the goal.
